After 17 years, Amon Amarth have departed ways with drummer Fredrik Andersson.
“Amon Amarth and drummer Fredrik Andersson have decided to part ways after 17 years. Fredrik has been an important part of Amon Amarth’s development since he joined the band in 1998 and we wish him all the best for the future. We are currently in the process of writing the new album, but at the moment there is no replacement for him.

The Devil Wears Prada original guitarist Chris Rubey has made the decision to leave the band.
“At the end of October, upon completing our run of shows in Mexico, Chris decided that it was time to stay home and be with his wife and daughter. While losing a founding member might seem to be a bumpy transition to announce, we find ourselves terrifically proud and enthused to continue moving forward with touring and writing new material.
The upcoming Space EP is a testament to what we’re capable of and the always truthful fact that TDWP is a collective collaboration rather than any single member or component. We’re happy to say that parting ways with Chris couldn’t have been more amicable: we understand and wish him the very best at being with his family.
In the meantime, our good friend Kyle is playing with us: a fine gentleman and an excellent guitarist who helped out tremendously in the making of Space EP. The Zombie 5 Tour is off to a fantastic start, and we look forward to seeing all of you at an upcoming show.

Perth’s Miles Away have announced they will release their new album “Tide” on May 08 through Resist Records.
The band will release a new track “Grateful” tonight on Triple J Radio from 10pm Eastern Australian Time.
“Stoked to finally announce the details of our fourth full length album “TIDE”. Eleven songs recorded and mixed with Jay Mass at Getaway during July and August 2014 and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.
It will be available on LP/CD/Digital in Australia through Resist Records and on LP/CD/Cassette by Six Feet Under Records in the US and Europe. Pre-prder info will be up in the next few days.
