Coheed And Cambria Detail New Album “The Color Before The Sun”

Coheed And Cambria have announced they will be releasing their new album “The Color Before The Sun” on October 09 through 300 Entertainment.

Pre orders for the deluxe box set can be found at this location and include two hardcover books (one focusing on album lyrics and artwork; the other telling the story behind the making of the album), additional demos, a DVD visually documenting the making of the album along with much more.

Ghost Release New Track “Majesty”

Ghost have released another new track titled “Majesty” from the upcoming album “Meliora” which is set for release on August 21.

“Lyrically, it’s on one hand a hymn about the dark lord of the underworld. On the other hand it paints a picture of a swarm of people, whom in a world of complete disaster, idolizes an authority that is clearly looking down upon the. How to love something that hates you back.”

Korn To Return To Their Heavy Side

In a recent interview, Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch spoke of the bands new album, among other topics.

Here’s what he had to say about the bands next release:

“We started writing a few weeks ago, and we have a bunch of ideas, so it’s really coming out quickly. It’s pretty danged heavy. I mean, we’re really pleased with what’s going on. But, you know, we’re five guys in the band, so we just… we just want everyone to be happy with the album. We want everybody to be smiling at the end of the process. So we do have other things to consider. But, yeah, we’re gonna come out heavier than anyone’s heard Korn in a long time, I think. And just the beginning stages are proof of that to me. So I’m excited.”

When asked if celebrating the bands 20th anniversary of their self-titled debut album had played any part in the directional shift:

“I think it’s helped being on the Slipknot tour last year and seeing the crowd and just seeing Jonathan carry the… you know, lead the arena… in all the arenas we played. I think it sparked and reminded everybody in the band what Korn started out to be. And it’s cool to go do other things, but, you know… I think it was all a journey, and that journey’s leading us back to some of the more heavier roots and stuff this time. So… Who knows? Next record, who knows what’ll happen.”

Strife To Release New EP This September

Strife have announced they will be releasing a new EP titled “Incision” on September 04 which includes guest appearances from Iggor Cavalera (Cavalera Conspiracy/ex-Soulfly) on drums, plus Ringworm vocalist Human Furnance and ex-Integrity guitarist Aaron Melnick.

The EP was produced by Terror drummer Nick Jett and will be released though Strife guitarist Andrew Kline‘s label WAR Records with the EP due on 12″ vinyl, CD, digital and cassette formats.

Kline said of the new EP:

“Over the years, I have become more and more disillusioned with the record labels that we have dealt with. I funded the last record myself, and produced all of the marketing content on my own. I feel like I have the understanding and know how to do a better job, and do things on my own terms. I am very excited to see my first release into fruition.”

The Devil Wears Prada Release New Track “Aliens”

Cattle Decapitation Stream New Album “The Anthropocene Extinction”

Cattle Decapitation are currently streaming their new album “The Anthropocene Extinction”. which features guest appearances from Philip H. Anselmo of Down/ex-Pantera, etc. fame, Author & Punisher and Jurgen Bartsch of Bethlehem.

The album is currently set for release through Metal Blade Records on August 07.

TesseracT Release New Track “Messenger”

TesseracT have released a new track titled “Messenger”.

The song comes from the bands upcoming album “Polaris” which is set for release on September 28.

Vocalist Dan Tompkins said of the song:

“The concept of our new album, Polaris is simple; it is about the transient nature of universal truth. There is no such thing as an absolute fixed human concept that will forever be the truth. Perhaps that is a message most of us can’t or don’t want to listen to butMessenger highlights an ever growing awakening from the onslaught of the social conditioning we’re exposed to everyday from the media. The truth constantly obscured and the public subdued by ‘Casting fear into doubt’”

Trivium Detail New Album “Silence In The Snow” + Reveal Title Track

Trivium have revealed that their new album “Silence In The Snow” is set to be released through Roadrunner Records on October 02.

The band have also released a new video for the title track which can be found below along with the tracklisting and cover art.

“Hey pals! I’m so stoked this is out! For those of you wondering – this song was written forShogun, and is basically almost the same as it was, so Shogun fans rejoice; didn’t likeShogun? You may not dig this.

But know that since I was 12 I wanted to be a great singer, I screamed because I couldn’t sing. I am proud and excited to finally be able to do what I love the way I love.

Don’t love it? Our old stuff still exists. Love it? Awesome. I love both sides of you all regardless.
