Throwdown drummer joins Madball

Madball have officially welcomed ex-Throwdown drummer Ben Dussault into their line-up. The post from their MySpace blog:

We’d like to welcome our new drummer, Ben Dussault to the Madball family. Ben is a veteran of such bands as Throwdown, and A Death For Every Sin. He just completed his first tour with us, and we’re grateful to have him on board.

Also a huge thanks, and best wishes to our brother Mackie, who had been with us since last year. You’ll be seeing him, worldwide, with the Cro Mags!

Donations for Deftones Bassist

The website www.oneloveforchi.com has been setup to help raise funds for the medical costs associated with Deftones bassist Chi Cheng’s ongoing recovery from a car accident last November. At present Chi Cheng still remains in a coma as a result of the accident.

New Dredg Track

A new Dredg track by the name of “Saviour” has surfaced online in mp3 format. Check it out here.

The song comes from the groups new album “The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion”, which is scheduled to arrive in stores in June through the bands own Ohlone Recordings label.

New Cattle Decapitation Video

Check out the new video for Cattle Decapitation’s ‘Regret and the Grave’ from their album ‘The Harvest Floor’:

“We were contacted by a fan on MySpace saying we should use his family owned butcher shop,” vocalist Travis Ryan told HeadbangersBlog.com. “Knowing perfectly well that we could easily make a butcher shop or a slaughterhouse look like a human slaughterhouse, we had to jump at the chance. We shot all day in there and at first it smelled like pepper. By the end of the shoot it smelled like death. The end result is pretty disturbing which is of course, exactly what we intended.”

Silverstein Post Clips From New Album

Silverstein have posted 1 minute clips from 2 tracks off their upcoming new album ‘A Shipwreck In The Sand’. The track ‘Born Dead’ features Scott Wade formerly of Comeback Kid and the track ‘Vices’ features Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats. New clips will be posted on the bands MySpace until the new album comes out on March 31st.
