The recent romours of Dallas Coyle’s departure from God Forbid have turned out to be true. Former Darkest Hour guitarist Kris Norris has been tapped as a temporary replacement. Band guitarist Doc Coyle had the following to say:
“There have been a barrage of rumors and questions on whether or not Dallas has left God Forbid. It’s true that Dallas has left the band. It’s taken us a few days to confirm this definitely, and figure out what we were going to do considering the fact that we are starting a very important tour with Lamb Of God this week.
I don’t want to go into the hairy details, but all I can say is that there was a mutual disagreement between Dallas and I, and the disagreement became angry on both sides, and he decided to sit out the tour the day we were supposed to leave. We later learned he did not want to tour anymore at all. Everyone in the band, including myself, was upset and shocked. For me, it’s a lot tougher because he’s my brother and I have a very close bond with him. We’ve done everything together our whole lives, so it’s difficult to deal with emotionally but I understand he has bigger responsibilities at home to care for. I wish he would’ve handled it in a different way, but I am not angry at him for leaving if he is unhappy with our situation. I really hope he finds success and happiness in his future pursuits.
In the meantime, we’ve recruited ex-Darkest Hour shredder Kris Norris to fill in for the tour. We are currently doing a few warm-up shows as a four-piece to meet the Lamb Of God tour in Phoenix, Arizona on April 2. Kris will be there for the start of the LOG tour though. I’ve been friends with Kris for years, and have an immense amount of respect for his playing. I look forward to playing with him, and I’m sure he will knock it out the park! Byron and I will pick up the slack with the vocals as much as we can.
Thanks for everyone’s continued support, and we’ll see you on the road!”

The Red Shore have posted details on their upcoming new album “Lost Verses” on their MySpace:
THE RED SHORE RE VISIT THEIR PAST ON FORTHCOMING RELEASE “LOST VERSES” OUT MAY 2009 on STOMP ENTERTAINMENT
After the triumphant release of last years stunning CD/DVD “UNCONSECRATED” The Red Shore now find themselves looking to their past to light the way forward. With little down time in-between tours The Red Shore decided to spend theirs jamming on songs from their past and the outcome was just too inspiring to go undocumented.
LOST VERSES: is more than a trip down memory lane for the Melbourne based extreme metal crew, its honouring their fallen brothers, celebrating their early works and most importantly, its TRS regrouping and having fun doing what they do best…shredding , grinding and pummelling your senses with a sonic assault of biblical proportions.
LOST VERSES: was recorded & mixed on the fly by guitarist Roman Koester at Complex Studios and while this was not meant to be anything more than the band jamming on some old tunes for fun….. the result is nothing short of jaw dropping.
Here’s what TRS founding member Jamie Hope had to say about it:
“We’re stoked to announce that we’ll be releasing a new disc for you guys as early as May! We decided to get back in the studio while we had some brief time off in-between tours and have some fun jamming on our older stuff and put it out for you guys to bang your heads to!”
“We’re really excited as this is going to add a lot to our live show and people that never got to hear these older songs live will now have the chance! LOST VERSES: will feature tracks such as Flesh Couture, Effigy Of Death and Knives and Wolves as well as many other tracks from past chapters of the band! Keep an eye out for a preview track on our myspace www.myspace.com/theredshore and www.stomp.com.au coming soon and look out for LOST VERSES: hitting shelves nationwide at a record store near you in May!!!!”
