For The Fallen Dreams vocalist Dylan Richter has left the band. He made the following statement regarding his departure:
“To whom this may concern,
I would first like to start off by saying that the past four and a half years as a member of this band have been the best years of my life. I have met a lot of great people, and I’ve made a lot of great friends. The places I’ve seen along the way, I would have never imagined ever visiting in my whole entire life. This experience would have never been made possible without the members of this group, our fans, friends, families, management, booking agents, and our record labels. Thanks to the endless support of Mike Hocking, Ryan Nelson and everyone at Merch Connection, Craig Ericson of Rise Records, Mike Milford of Artery Recordings, Ash Avildsen, Shawn Keith and The Pantheon Agency, Tom Denney at Diamond Studios, Joey Sturgis at The Foundation Studios, and Fritz Richter.
There comes a point in everyone’s life where they need to make a change. At this point in my life, I need to stay at home with my family and focus on my priorities. I am so grateful that I have been able to affect so many lives through my music and lyrics. Just because I’m parting ways with For the Fallen Dreams does not mean that I am done with music, by any means.
Once again, thank you to everyone that has been there for us since day one. I hope that in one way or another, everyone who this concerns will eventually be able to understand my discontent, and reasons for change.
Sincerely,
Dylan Richter“
The Black Dahlia Murder have revealed the title of their upcoming album to be “Everblack”. The band recently began tracking the album with Eyal Levi of Dååth. A June release date is in the works with more information regarding the album pending.
Terror have released a statement regarding the delay of their new album “Live By The Code”. Check it out below:
“A lot of people have been leaving comments or asking us when Live By The Code is coming out. We want this record out too, believe me. The record is done. It’s been done for a long time now. The layout is done. Everything is set. And we are very proud with it. It came out great. Really fucking great. So what has the delay been? Our own stubbornness. Our own drive to make sure it’s released the way we want it.
We are under contract with Century Media, for better or for worse. They have always treated us fairly, but as a band you always want more. You always feel short changed. You always have your vision and getting that vision across to a larger label is not always easy. So for months we’ve gone back and forth on how we can put this thing out so everyone is happy. We wanted to start our own label so we could do everything on our terms but CM didn’t wanna just let us go. Believe me, I feel for record labels in 2013.
Pay all that money for recording and to push the record and people just download for free. So I see their side of all this. So after a lot of give and take, I think we put together a pretty crazy plan with CM that’s going to catch a lot of people off-guard and stir the pot once again. Gotta feed the internet so they can shit out their keyboard diarrhea. All the details will be coming with one of those overly official press releases with a lot of stupid wording soon. Bear with us for a bit more. The new EP, “Hard Lessons,” just came out on Reaper Records. Check it out.”

Killswitch Engage have revealed details regarding their new album. It will be titled “Disarm The Descent” and has been given an April 2nd release date through Roadrunner Records. “In Due Time” will arrive as a digital single a few weeks prior. An official statement c an be seen below:
“Grammy-nominated, Massachusetts-based hard rockers Killswitch Engage –singer Jesse Leach, guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, bassist Mike D’Antonio, guitarist Joel Stroetzel and drummer Justin Foley– have announced Disarm The Descent as the title of their upcoming sixth album. The 12-track record is due out April 2 on longtime label Roadrunner Records and is the follow up to 2009′s self-titled release. Disarm The Descent is the band’s first album with original singer Leach at the vocal helm since 2002′s now classic, genre-defining Alive or Just Breathing.Leach returned to the band in January 2012 after a decade-long absence.
The first single, “In Due Time,” will be made available digitally on February 5. Album pre-orders will kick off in early February, as well, with more details forthcoming.
Disarm The Descent was selected by Alternative Press magazine for its “Most Anticipated Albums of 2013″ issue and the band was profiled in Guitar World as one to watch in 2013. Clearly buzz from fans and the metal and hard rock community regarding new KsE remains deafening.
“It is with a grateful spirit that we prepare for this record’s release,” Leach said. “From the music, to the lyrics, to the artwork, we are all proud of what we have accomplished. To me this is by far my best vocal performance, much thanks to Adam‘s guidance and faith in my abilities. I am very grateful to be where I am in life, back in an amazing band with a record we are all excited for the world to hear. Thanks to all the fans for their warm welcome back and their undying love for Killswitch Engage.”
2012 marked a busy year for KsE.
With Leach firmly installed as the frontman for the last 12 months, the band spent its summer on the road. KsE shook the bedrock of venues across the country as part of the first-ever Trespass America tour alongside Five Finger Death Punch.
The band recently embarked on a tour that celebrated the 10th anniversary of Alive or Just Breathing. They performed the album in full, with a few fan favorites and hits from their gold-selling albums, 2004′s The End of Heartache and 2006′s As Daylight Dies, sprinkled into the setlist. KsE were also profiled by Decibel in the magazine’s highly respected “Hall of Fame” feature for Alive or Just Breathing.
In between tours, the band put its nose to the grindstone to work on what would become Disarm The Descent, with Dutkiewicz producing. The wheels have been turning for the past year, as the band supplemented recording with touring. The time is upon us for the next chapter of Killswitch Engage, who were at the forefront of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal resurgence that defined the ’00s and have remained vital into the new decade.
