Tool To Begin Recording By Years End

Tool drummer Danny Carey has announced the band will be hoping to enter the studio by years end to record their next album which will hopefully be released in early 2014. Check out what he had to say below from the linked interview.

“It’s still the three of us right now and four of us it will be soon, you know, just working on all our parts and working on our compositions together. Stylistically, we’re trying to push things in different ways, but it always comes out sounding like Tool no matter what we’re trying to do. We’re working everyday on it and it’s going really well, so I’m hoping we’ll get into the studio by the end of the year.

We could have the record finished by the end of the year — that’s a possibility, but the logistics of getting it manufactured and getting the record company in line and all this stuff, I doubt we’ll be able to get it out before Christmas. We’ll see how it goes. Most likely, it’ll be early 2014.”

The Big Day Out 2014 has announced the dates and cities for this years festival with the line up being announced at 8pm on Wednesday July 31. Ticket prices for the festival will be $185 all inclusive.
A limited edition souvenir ticket are available in store at General Pants Co. stores across the country from Thursday August 01.
Membership can now be gained through the following link which will give you access to the on line pre sale which will take place on Friday August 02.

Pelican have announced they will be releasing their new album “Forever Becoming” on October 15. The album marks the first release without founding member Laurent Schroeder-Lebec. The band have also released a new track “Immutable Dusk” which will be included on the album.
