Winds Of Plague have released a new video for the track “Say Hello To The Undertaker”. The song is taken from the recently released album “Resistance”. Front man Johnny Plague had the following to say:
“This is part two of our previous video, ‘Open The Gates Of Hell,’. Picking up where we left off, our young woman wakes up in a dark, strange building. As she explores this place, she sees doors that have words written in blood on them. The words are various deadly sins and as she looks inside she witnesses different characters that seem trapped in these rooms focused only on these sins they have spent their lives indulging in. Later she is grabbed by the same angel of death character from the previous video and dragged to the throne of Satan to be judged for sentencing.”
The Devil Wears Prada front man Mike Hranica has released a new fictional book titled “Home For Grave“. The story takes inspiration from the song of the same name featured on his bands newest release “8:18”. The books can be purchased from this location with the initial pressing limited to 1,818 copies.
Suicide Silence are set to go back into the studio in November to begin the writing and recording process for their new album. Band guitarist Mark Heylmun had the following to say:
“This record will be the grittiest, most meaningful piece of work we’ve ever stood behind. We cannot wait for everyone to hear it. Steve Evetts is someone we’ve worked closely with for a long while, not only on The Black Crown, but also on some instrumental demos just prior to the tragedy last Fall. Here we are a year later prepping to record the nastiest, heaviest, most disgusting work we’ve ever done. Expect the unexpected. This is for Mitch.”
Sleeping With Sirens have released a new video for the track “Congratulations”. The song features guest vocals from the Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire.
In Flames have begun the recording process for their new album. The band have released the following statement:
“In Flames on historical ground.
David Bowie, Depeche Mode and U2 have all recorded some of their strongest albums in Hansa Studios in Berlin. Now it is time for one of metal’s top acts to write the next chapter in the history of the famous studio.
In Flames have just arrived at Köthener Strasse 38 to record the follow-up to the gold-selling “Sounds of a Playground Fading” from 2011. The recording of the band’s eleventh album will continue throughout the year, and in the spring of 2014 we will have the chance to hear the result of this exciting meeting between the classic studio and the Swedish metal pioneers.
The single “Deliver Us” recently reached platinum status in Sweden and the band’s inexhaustible touring have fortified the band as Sweden’s big metal export. Now it is time for the next adventure for In Flames, who have sold more than three million records to this date.
The band’s singer Anders Fridén cannot wait to get into Berlin’s legendary studio where milestones such as David Bowie’s “Heroes” and Iggy Pop’s “Lust for Life” were created. And it is not only the history of music that is constantly present on Köthener Strasse 38. The house was built as early as in 1913 and the studio used to be called Hansa by the Wall because of its closeness to the Berlin wall.
– When I visited Hansa Studios earlier this year I got goose bumps. There is so much history both inside and surrounding the studio and I want to be a part of that. Magic has been created here and hopefully that will affect us, Anders Fridén says.”
Job For A Cowboy have parted ways with drummer Jon Rice. He has had the following to say regarding his departure:
“As of this past August, I have decided to part ways with Job for a Cowboy. There are a few reasons for this, none of which I’m going to get into.
That being said, I have no intentions of stopping touring or playing. I honestly love to tour and play live with new people, so I look forward to playing in new musical arenas in the future.
The dudes and I are on very good terms with this and they understand the decision. They have a new record in the making and I’m extremely excited to hear it.
“Thanks again to everyone.”
