Of Mice And Men have released a short video detailing vocalist Austin Carlile‘s input into the bands recent studio sessions for the upcoming album “Restoring Force” which is set for release on January 28.
Behemoth have released the first part of four videos showcascing the making of the bands upcoming album “The Satanist”. The album is set for a February 04 release.
Neck Deep are currently streaming their new album “Wishful Thinking” in it’s entirety. The album is set for release on January 14. Pre-orders for the album can be found at this location.
After The Fall have announced they are planning on heading to Australia later this year. No further details have been released.

Alexisonfire have released the fourth instalment of their webisode series detailing every release from the bands catalogue. This time see’s the band speak of “Old Crows / Young Cardinals”.
“I think our final full length was a little challenging for people. We were dedicated to not repeating ourselves and that was appealing to some, but there were many who were growing tired of the ever modifying Alexisonfire.
None the less; in my opinion, it was the best record we ever made. We were actively trying to distance ourselves from a screamo scene that was completely stagnant.”
Opeth front man/guitarist Mikael Åkerfeldt has recently spoken about the bands current position in regards to new material for an upcoming release.
“I have about six songs done and another two or three just started, plus a million ideas that I haven’t processed yet. Some songs are simple and stripped-down, while others are epic in the true sense of the word. Business as usual, hopefully with unusual music.”
“Some of these things could easily be done with synthetic sounds or effects, but recording the Storm Corrosion LP with Steven Wilson made me realize what a massive difference it can mean to incorporate the real shit. I’m semi-pretentious in my songwriting and sometimes I go all in. I think it’s time for ‘all in’ with strings and the full monty. Hopefully it won’t be a mess.”
“It’s a jam I came up with during the Mastodon/Ghost tour that we ended up soundchecking. After a few days, you’d hear people in the corridors humming it. It’s a fucking hit! But basically it’s a not-so-subtle headbanging-type nod in Goblin‘s direction. And to avoid confusion, the song is even called ‘Goblin‘. My rip-off deteriorates mid-song and becomes fusion-esque darkened prog rock like Mahavishnu[Orchestra] or ELP. But it swings! It really does.”
Caliban have released a new video for the track “Devil’s Night”. The song comes from the bands upcoming album “Ghost Empire” which is set for release on February 04.
Bury Tomorrow have announced that their upcoming album will be titled “Runes” and will be released on May 27 through Nuclear Blast. The cover art and an announcement from band front man Dan Winter Bates can be found below:
“Runes” is the album we have always wanted to make and we cannot wait for everyone to hear it. Progressing from ‘Union of Crowns’, we’ve tried to capture our favourite era of metalcore whilst blending the nuances of what make the genre so great today. It’s a faster, more aggressive album, but it still sounds like us, we couldn’t be prouder of it!”
Prepared Like A Bride have released their new video for the track “Overcomer”. The song is the title track for the bands upcoming debut album which is set for release on February 07.
Queens Of The Stone Age main man Josh Homme has announced the bands plans to enter the studio after September 2014 to begin recording the bands new album. Homme said of the bands plans:
“Absolutely. We have more than enough songs. We’re booked till September, but after that we plan to jump in the studio and get going.”
