Iron Maiden have released a new statement regarding the cancer battle their vocalist Bruce Dickinson is currently battling.
“Over the last few days, Bruce has been to see his specialists and following examinations, including visual, we’re delighted to update everyone that the situation remains extremely optimistic for a full recovery. We will still not have final confirmation that the cancer has been completely eradicated until Bruce can have an MRI scan in May, as previously advised in Rod’s recent message to the fans on this site, and the period to full recovery will continue for a few months yet.
Typically Bruce’s immediate reaction to the specialists’ good news was to be as active as feasibly possible, taking in a couple of visits to the Maiden office, one to the Hybrid Air Vehicle hangar to see latest progress, and a brief trip to his local pub, much to the surprise and delight of all his friends there!
We just wanted to share this latest piece of good news with all Maiden’s fans and, as usual, we’ll continue to keep you all updated officially on Bruce’s progress throughironmaiden.com.”

After 17 years, Amon Amarth have departed ways with drummer Fredrik Andersson.
“Amon Amarth and drummer Fredrik Andersson have decided to part ways after 17 years. Fredrik has been an important part of Amon Amarth’s development since he joined the band in 1998 and we wish him all the best for the future. We are currently in the process of writing the new album, but at the moment there is no replacement for him.

Meshuggah drummer Tomas Haake has released a new video from he studio where the band have begun work on their next album which will be released in 2016.
Sleeping Sirens are streaming their new album “Madness”.
The Devil Wears Prada original guitarist Chris Rubey has made the decision to leave the band.
“At the end of October, upon completing our run of shows in Mexico, Chris decided that it was time to stay home and be with his wife and daughter. While losing a founding member might seem to be a bumpy transition to announce, we find ourselves terrifically proud and enthused to continue moving forward with touring and writing new material.
The upcoming Space EP is a testament to what we’re capable of and the always truthful fact that TDWP is a collective collaboration rather than any single member or component. We’re happy to say that parting ways with Chris couldn’t have been more amicable: we understand and wish him the very best at being with his family.
In the meantime, our good friend Kyle is playing with us: a fine gentleman and an excellent guitarist who helped out tremendously in the making of Space EP. The Zombie 5 Tour is off to a fantastic start, and we look forward to seeing all of you at an upcoming show.
Peace,Mike & The Pradas”
