After 2 years of touring “Deep Blue”, Parkway Drive have recently entered Sunset Lodge Recording Studio to start the recording process for their new album. The band have enlisted the help of producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Hatebreed, Terror).
In a recent interview withAlternative Press the band’s vocalist Winston McCall had the following to say:
“I think when the first single drops, people will realize that Parkway haven’t gone backwards in terms of heaviness. Our playing has improved, too. Even the simplest stuff—when it comes down to just the four elements of guitar, bass, drums and vocals—all of that has been taken to a degree that’s way, way more advanced than anything we’ve done in the past.”

According to novinky.cz Lamb Of God front man Randy Blythe is still being held in custody and will do so for at least a few more days in the Czech Republic. The prosecutors have filed a complaint against the release on bail. A new bail hearing is being set for an as yet unspecified date.
Even though Blythe has already paid the $200,000 bail, he is still being held, pending the decision.
Alexisonfire have announced they will return for a final farewell tour. No further details have been released.
Guitarist/vocalist Wade MacNeil has announced it on his twitter:
“Seems like the cats out of the bag. Alexisonfire will do one final tour.”
Dallas Green has also commented on the band’s decision. Check out the full interview here.
“I don’t think we’ll play arenas. It’ll probably be a bunch of shows, probably be a bunch of nights at a smaller place. Maybe we’ll play every record or maybe we’ll do different set lists and stuff. It’ll be more of a happy-go-lucky vibe than ‘hey, look at how big we were.’ You know what I mean? It would be more about celebrating what we had and what we did and what we accomplished.”
More details have emerged over the situation involving Lamb Of God front man Randy Blythe.
Excerpts from a recent interview with the band’s manager by Rolling Stone can be viewed below:
“We were told on Saturday that he had been approved by the judge for bail – $200,000 – and if we paid it, he would be released probably this morning. We all went to bed thinking that he would be out. I had flights booked for him to come back. And then at 4 o’clock this morning – because they’re six hours ahead – I received a call from the lawyer in the Czech Republic telling us that the prosecution was challenging the bail, and because of that, he wouldn’t be released today.”
“However, there are YouTube videos, which 100 percent show Randy’s innocence. As a matter of fact, all of those videos have now been sent to our lawyer, and he’s presenting it to the judge tomorrow morning [July 4th]. This case is so full of holes. Nobody reported an injury of any kind at the concert, or after the concert. It was at least an hour to two hours later, supposedly, when this kid went to a hospital.
“So that’s number one – why did nothing occur during the show? Number two, he had supposedly been in a coma for 30 days, but it wasn’t [until] a couple of months later that they contacted the promoter to ask his understanding of the events. He said the same thing – that the show went on fine, no nothing, no incidents. They told him that a person had been injured, which led to a death, which he had no knowledge of whatsoever. And then it went away. Two years go by, and Randy gets arrested.”
In related news the other members of Lamb Of God have set up a Facebook page where fans can donate money to help with the ever increasing legal costs.
“We have retained local legal counsel, have support from the US Embassy and we are flying over additional lawyers to try and assure that Randy has the best representation possible.”
The Amity Affliction have released the title track from the band’s upcoming album “Chasing Ghosts”. The album is set for release in September. You can check out the track here.
