Misery Signals have launched an Indigogo campaign asking for fans to donate $50,000 to help fund the band’s next full length. The band had the following to say:
“After five years we are finally recording a new full-length album.
It has been somewhat of a journey for us to get this point but the time has arrived and we could not be more excited. Writing and playing music together again has lit a fire in us. After handling entanglements with our former label, re-solidifying our lineup, touring, writing and rewriting songs, we have now honed and sharpened new material that we truly believe in and want to share with you.
While we no longer have the support of a label, we also no longer have the limitations of a label. This allows us to invest ourselves into the project more completely and in a way that has never been possible for us before. We can work on our own terms, collaborate with the people we want to, track at the studios we want to and oversee artwork, manufacturing, promotion and every element of this album as it comes together.
We feel fortunate to have the opportunity to create this with you, the people that have supported this band through the years past and have inspired us to now continue on into the future.
We were all kids that grew up listening to hardcore, metal and punk and in many ways this feels like a return to form for us. To be this hands-on involved with the D.I.Y. creation of a record is truly liberating and we want you all to follow along and be a part of it as it goes.
Every person that contributes will receive continued updates from us personally in the form of emails, video snippets, and even a few live webcasts as we track the album. Ultimately, your support is vital to the creation of this and we could not be more thankful.
Your pledges are going directly into the quality and reach of the album itself. They allow us the means to book time at studios we revere, travel to those locations, carefully record, mix and master the album in an effort to capture and articulate it in the best way that we can.
This is an important album to us and we sincerely and passionately want to make the final outcome reflect that. Beyond that, your funding will allow us to manufacture physical copies so that we can continue to tour, distribute, promote, and spread the music to as many people as possible.
This isn’t a glamorous lifestyle and we don’t plan on personally keeping any of the money raised – it is all going into making the band function again and toward making this the best album that we can create.
Making this album and being an active recording band again is long overdue and we wouldn’t be doing any of this if it weren’t for you. We are fired up, ready, eager, and excited. The album will come out as soon as possible and we will keep you posted every single step of the way.
Thank you. We can’t say it enough.”

“We’ve been really productive writing-wise. As of last night we have 4 songs pretty much done musically, another 5 jams / half songs. The song we finished last night felt like it could be something really special. Phil has been on a riff roll, bringing some really unique sounding riffage and Dave McClain (our secret weapon) has brought some damn cool riffs to the table as well.”
