Megadeth have requested for Newsted to be dropped from the forthcoming sidewaves later this month. The team at Soundwave Touring have replaced Newsted with Whitechapel for both Sydney and Melbourne dates.

While I can’t really elude to anything, I will say that I’m excited that there will be a Haste The Day related announcement made on February 14. Machine Head have announced they will be heading to the studio next week to begin the recording process for their new album. Band guitarist Phil Demmel had the following to say:
“Countdown: 4 days until load-in to record #8.Most excited I’ve been before an album session since my first, 26 years ago.Lots of work to do!”
Architects are set to release another new track “Broken Cross” next Monday (10-02) from the new album “Lost Forever // Lost Together”. The album is set for release on March 11.
Northlane have announced they will be touring Australia as part of their very own “Free Your Mind” festival. This festival will be the first of many which will occur either annually or bi-annually. Each Monday night the band will announce a new artist to line up. A local slot will also be available at each tour date (bands able to submit from March 06 at this location). Tickets for all shows available from Thursday February 13.
