Miss May I have released more details regarding their upcoming album “Rise Of The Lion” which will be released on April 25 in Australia. The track listing along with the album cover art can be below along with a statement made by front man Levi Benton:
“Rise Of The Lion is a big step forward for our band. It’s our most diverse record by far. The main goal was to create a timeless metal record that defines our band and I believe we have done it. I wanted to find a new perspective to write from on this record.
I wanted it to be less about me and my life, as I feel I covered that a lot on the last record. So I have this huge box of letters we’ve received from fans over the years. Often they are about how our songs have helped people through tough times or been the soundtrack to great times. So I decided to write songs from the perspective of different fans who have written to us.”

Cavelera Conspiracy have finished recording their new album and have recently begun the mixing process. Producer John Gray (Soulfly) said of the sessions:
“This is by far the fastest and heaviest record I have ever had the pleasure of working on with Max Cavalera. Max, Igor and Marc were on the same page musically from the moment they walked in the door, and recording this album was a very smooth process. I had never worked with Igor Cavalera before and I was very impressed with his ability to work out the arrangements with Max and get some extremely complex drum parts done live with hardly any re-takes necessary.
Marc Rizzo, as always, was spot-on and a true guitar virtuoso. I love to work withMarc because he always pushes himself to perfection, but he is very down to earth and keeps things light when he’s under pressure. What can I say about Nate Newton– he killed it on the bass tracks with very little back and forth. I’m really impressed with his talent, and I look forward to meeting him someday.”
