Metallica Add Even More Australian Shows

Metallica have announced two more shows in Melbourne and Sydney before the round of sold date dates:

Sept. 15 – Melbourne, Australia – Rod Laver Arena
Sep. 18 – Sydney, Australia – Acer Arena.

“Wow . . . you guys are nuts and we are nuts about you!! It’s still mind-boggling to us that 13 shows in Australia sold out in less than an hour! So guess what??? We’re coming BAAAACCCK!

“We spent the last couple of weeks trying to put a schedule together in September that would include yet another visit . . . the third one, the prequel if you will. It works out that on our way to Japan we can do just that, so look for us AGAIN on September 15 in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena and September 18 in Sydney at Acer Arena.

“Tickets go on sale June 25 at 9:00 a.m. The Visa pre-sale is June 21 at noon through June 23 at 9:00 a.m. and the Ticketek pre-sale June 23, also at noon, goes through June 24 at 5:00 p.m. Fan club members should check www.metclub.com for information about their pre-sale that begins TOMORROW!

Metallica Add Even More Shows

Metallica have added additional shows to their upcoming World Magnetic Australian Tour, they have confirmed third and final shows in both Sydney and Melbourne and an additional show in Perth and Adelaide.

Tickets go on general sale 9am Thursday May 13.

Metallica Australian Tour

Metallica will be touring Australia and New Zealand in October/November.

“We know, we know . . . it has been WAY too long since we visited this part of the world, but we’re here to tell you that it is game on!!!!

“We can’t wait to head over to New Zealand and many parts of Australia bringing the World Magnetic Tour to places it has not rocked yet. Starting October 13, 2010 in Auckland, NZ, we’ll also be in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, and Melbourne.

“We look forward to seeing all our friends there who have patiently (or maybe not so patiently!) waited over six years!!!”

Metallica Touring Australia In November

At a recent press conference in Columbia, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich revealed plans to tour New Zealand and Australia in November.

“We’re staying out and doing dates through November in Australia and New Zealand and then after that we’re going to take a little chill time.”

The Australian dates will likely be the last for their “World Magnetic Tour” which started in September 2008.
