Devildriver have released a new track titled “My Night Sky” from the upcoming album “Trust No One” which is set for release on May 13.
Frontman Dez Fafara commented of the track:
“‘My Night Sky‘… about a negative person trying to literally ruin the night as heard by the line “you’ve poisoned the wine and it’s my night “… And instead turning it around on them , showing them a mirror of themselves as heard in the first line of the verse ” desperate in your sadness so wear black cloth .” Showing that person that it’s indeed their own negative thoughts of themselves that are not only ruining the night but in fact their life ….SMACK!”
Devildriver have released their third studio video from their sessions recording “Trust No One” which is set for release on May 13.
Devildriver have released their second studio video from the recent sessions recording “Trust No One” which is set for release on May 13.

Devildriver have premiered a new track over at Loudwire titled “Daybreak” which is to be included on the bands upcoming album “Trust No One”, set for release on May 13 through Napalm Records.
Frontman Dez Fafara commented:
“This song is about not fearing the unknown, and never giving up in life no matter what life throws at you, learning to hold your head high through even the darkest of times.”
Guitarist Mike Spreitzer added:
“‘Daybreak‘ is the first song that our new guitarist Neal [Tiemann] brought to the table early in the writing process. He had a great deal of tunes to show me when he first joined the band. After listening to all of them, ‘Daybreak‘ was the first one that I felt deserved a place on the record.”
Devildriver have announced they will be releasing their new album “Trust No One” on May 13 through Napalm Records.
Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse) produced the album and will also take on the mixing duties.
Frontman Dez Fafara mentioned the following:
“Almost three years in the making, get ready for a new DevilDriver record! ‘Trust No One‘ is filled with killer riffs, groove after groove and massive hooks! Regarding the title ‘Trust No One‘, it’s rightly named and done so. There will be no explanation needed regarding what the title means. The lyrics are volatile and straight to the point!
See you next year with ‘Trust No One‘ and around the world on tour!”
At The Gates have released a new animated video for their track “The Night Eternal”. Costin Chioreanu directed the clip, having also done the artwork for the band’s latest album “At War With Reality”.
Frontman Tomas Lindberg commented:
“‘The Night Eternal‘ is one of the absolute strongest and also emotionally challenging songs on the new record. It is a personal favourite and always gives us an enormous touching feedback when we play it live. Therefore it was a no-brainer for us to choose this song when Costin approached us about the idea of another animated video. This time he has, once again, stunned us with his amazing efforts to portray the emotional aspects of the music and lyrics of our songs. His interpretation of our material has always inspired us to rethink and re-evaluate our own creations, and therefore something new comes out of the project every time he is involved.”
Chioreanu also added:
“The story of “The Night Eternal” speaks about the dark side of human nature and about the tragedy of living now, in a moment when any possible tool for hiding it becomes futile. The Night Eternal is in us, The Night Eternal is what we became, guiding our spiritual evolution using a wrong map, provided by a wrong society. The victim remains lost in a dream of constant need without any perspective of fulfillment.”
Devildriver look to have finished the recording process for their next release.
Producer Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse) mentioned the following:
“Bye for now LA. That was a long, busy, insanely productive two months. This new @devildriverofficial is really something special. @dezfafara and I had possibly the most grueling vocal day we’ve ever worked yesterday in all our careers, and man i am proud of that dude. You rule bro! This shit kills!! Much love to my brothers @michaelspreitzer @fnaustile83 and @nealfingtiemann for delivering on all levels. And Neal, congrats again my friend to you and your better half. Hope the honeymoon is great.
Now I’m back home to start drums with Fallujah tomorrow and then mixing both @devildriverofficial and Fallujah back to back. So much sick music happening. Excited to share with you all. #devildriver #dd7 #fallujah”
