August Burns Red Sign With Fearless

August Burns Red have revealed they have inked a new deal wih Fearless Records. Check out what band guitarist JB Brubaker had to say below:

“We are all extremely excited to be a part of the Fearless family. Fearless has done an amazing job building a community within the label as well as a bunch of our friends bands and careers. We can’t wait to see what they can do with ABR. I am about 5 songs deep into writing the new record and I feel like it’s some of the most creative and heavy stuff we have ever written. 2015 is gonna be a great year for August Burns Red! August Burns Red have released a new video for the track “Beauty In Tragedy”. The song comes from the bands recently released album “Rescue And Restore”.

August Burns Red Planning New Album

August Burns Red have announced they will be releasing a new album sometime in 2015. Band drummer Matt Greiner had the following to say:

“…We are going to be writing and recording this year. People forget you if you don’t put out music often, as far as I can see. It’s very important to support the record you just wrote and recorded by touring and then as soon as you can find the right time window to start a new one, do it. A record only lasts a year, a year and a half, maybe two years until you say, “Okay maybe now we need new content” and then that’s going to take six months. It’s all about trying to stay ahead of that curve, looking ahead and seeing when you want that new release and then pulling back six months and saying, “Here’s where we need to start.” We’ll be heading home this fall and writing and recording over the winter.”

Perth Soundwave Venue Change

13th February 2014

The Perth leg of this years Soundwave Festival has been moved from Claremont Showgrounds to Arena Joondalup.

Soundwave mastermind AJ Maddah had the following to say:

“We’re going to Joondalup! So happy. “Finally will be able to hear the band and not have thugs shut down stages!”

VenueWest chairman Graham Partridge had the following to say:

“This event is rapidly becoming one of the biggest and best festivals in Australia. With a line up including Green Day and Placebo as well Australia’s finest live rock act The Living End, the festival may well be a sell out again as it was in 2013.

With Big Day Out and Future Music already at Arena Joondalup the venue is proving itself to be one of the top festival locations in Australia. The addition of Soundwave means more than 100,000 people are expected to attend Arena Joondalup for festivals in 2014. This is great news for both young and old music fans in Perth and particularly for the northern Perth suburbs local economy.”

Soundwave Festival Release Draft Timetables

AJ Maddah has revealed some of the draft timetables for the upcoming Soundwave Festival. The final timetables are set to be released on Wednesday night for Brisbane and Sydney, with the other cities being announced on Friday.
