Alexisonfire guitarist Wade MacNeil has revealed the band plan are officially reuniting. MacNeil announced the plans from the stage during the groups ‘Riot Fest‘ appearance in Toronto.
“Thank you for believing in this band when we couldn’t even believe in this band. Thank you for sticking with us. We promise to never leave you again. No more sentimental shit. Alexisonfire is officially back.”
It has been revealed that Alexisonfire will play a number of festival dates this year which can be seen below.
The announcement comes after this weeks teasing.
Alexisonfire have been teasing a possible return. An official announcement is set to be made on March 09 (US).

Alexisonfire have confirmed they will be doing a second pressing of their vinyl discography box set which had previously sold out extremely quick. Pre-orders can be made at this location.
“We are doing a 2nd Edition of the AOF box set.
It’s slightly smaller than the original press and it’s a bit cheaper. It contains all of the studio albums on beautiful 180 gram 2xLP’s. The first press will remain nice and rare and special for all the psychopaths who got up early on Christmas Day to buy it; in all sincerity, that was amazing and we love you for that.
So this is a good way to get all the AOF LP’s in one shot but lets say you hate Dog’s Blood or Crisis (pfft, we all know you love crisis. Clearly the best AOF record…) and you don’t want them…you’re in luck because all of our albums will be pressed individually and sold a la carte. They will also be available in your local independent record stores near the end of the summer, should you feel the need to be charitable to a dying part of what was once a vibrant and profitable music industry. Alexisonfire have released yet another video in their series documenting past releases. This time focuses on the bands farewell tour in 2012.
Alexisonfire have released the fourth instalment of their webisode series detailing every release from the bands catalogue. This time see’s the band speak of “Old Crows / Young Cardinals”.
“I think our final full length was a little challenging for people. We were dedicated to not repeating ourselves and that was appealing to some, but there were many who were growing tired of the ever modifying Alexisonfire.
None the less; in my opinion, it was the best record we ever made. We were actively trying to distance ourselves from a screamo scene that was completely stagnant.”
Alexisonfire have released their third video in the web series which has been documenting each of their past releases. This time they have focused on “Crisis”.

Alexisonfire have released details regarding their limited edition vinyl box set which features pressings of the bands entire back catalogue. The set will be availalle from 12:01am on December 25. Details for the box set can be found below and at this location.
“Over a year in the making, the custom-designed box set includes audiophile re-pressings of each Alexisonfire studio release, coveted long out-of-print albums and never before pressed titles. The entire set has been pressed on heavyweight 180g vinyl, almost entirely mastered at 45rpm. The collection includes a never before heard remaster, by Nick Blagona at Jukasa Studios, of the debut album Alexisonfire and two bonus tracks recorded during the Death Letter session. To accommodate the double vinyl pressings, the original artwork has been redesigned in gatefold format. The box set will also feature other exclusive extras including a slipmat and 45 adapter with a trademark heartskull and a photo booklet curated by photographer Dustin Rabin containing photos from the band’s final shows in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario in December, 2012. Special custom shipping packaging has been designed to protect the box set contents. A digital download link, that includes high quality MP3s, will be delivered with purchase.”
